Anvers.

On our first Friday in Tasmania Matt's family and I all took a trip to Anvers, a chocolate cafe located just outside of Devonport. Needless to say it was nothing short of excellent!  Their Iced Milk shakes give Max Brenners a run for their money.  I will be sure to make another visit the next time I'm in Devonport.

the most amazing sandwiches I've tasted to date!

Cradle Mountain.

This was one of the HIGHLIGHTS of this trip!  I finally saw mountains in Australia and boy were they INCREDIBLE!  I recommend that everyone go visit this place! {and i do mean EVERYONE!}  It's a shame that my camera couldn't capture the beauty that we witnessed in person.  Cradle mountain is one of the is one of the principal tourist sites in Tasmania, owing to its natural beauty according to Wikipedia and man oh man are they right when they say that.  I just can't say it enough!  Cradle Mountain is BEAUTIFUL!

While we were there Matt, Cassie and I got to go on a 2 hour hike around Dove Lake.  We saw the most spectacular views and bush land Tassie has to offer! Made up of beautiful trees, moss and a river, the Ball Room Forest was my favorite part of the hike.  I am making no exaggeration when I say I could live there forever.  Beauty laid everywhere we looked.  It just made me appreciate the beauty and glory of Heavenly Father's creations for all of us to behold.  We live on such an amazing planet.  I am so glad I was fortunate enough to see Heavenly Father's creations on Cradle Mountain for myself. It was truly a blessing.  If you haven't already realised, I love Tasmania!

Ashogrove Cheese Shop

On one of our fine days in Tasmania Matt, Cassie and I decided to go for a drive down to the Ashgrove Cheese Shop.   Matt's parents raved to us about the cheese samples so little did we hesitate making it one of our must see locations.  Sadly, they had little samples the day we decided to attend, but that was ok because catching this shot of Cassie with a colourful cow made it all worth it...as did the "black death jam" matt got me for christmas {blackberry jam mixed with dark chocolate}!  Thank you Ashgrove Cheese shop for the memories and the Jam!  YUM!

Leven Canyon.

Our first stop on our Tasmanian sight seeing tour was Leven Canyon.  Everything from the drive up to the drive back down offered spectacular views.  Rolling green hills along with fields of poppies lined the road leading up to our destination.  Once there, we had a wonderful 15 min hike through the Tasmanian bush leading up to the lookout.  We even had our own little adventure when my camera battery fell from my case down through the railing! But don't fret because Matt's ingenuity saved the day! With the use of a stick and some gum all was well and the Bakers and I left Leven Canyon better people.  A special thank to Matt and his dad for some of these {beautiful} pictures.

The {beautiful} poppy fields that the lined the roads to Leaven Canyon.

I was pretty excited to be there.

Matt and I were inspired the beautiful landscape...

...so we decided to dance.

Can you spot the battery?
