This past Thursday Matt and I went to see the amazing Brisbane Jazz Band Miguel. How were they you ask? As Matt put it, "THERE WAS A PARTY IN MY EARS AND MIGUEL WERE INVITED!" It was fun listening to great music and catching up with old friends. The saxophone players will definitely go down as my favorite of the night. Matt left the night coveting the bass player's mad skills and I left hoping Matt's mini crush on the lead singer's smooth moves would leave him wanting a side part {I've been trying to get him to wear one for the longest time!} If only Jazz played in my ears all the time. Until then, here's a little peak into our night.

There's no place like home.
I long for home. A Lot. Probably because I've been M.I.A. for about 4 years now. Most often I miss my family, the feeling of driving down the freeway to the Irvine Spectrum in my green golf with the tunes pumping, eating sushi from trader Joe's, going for walks on the trail, riding my bike through Newport, eating Rubio's fish tacos and well really everything that is America. But today, I miss it because of him. I can't wait to have this face welcome me back next year. Copper this one's for you.

Photos with the Bakers.
After family Dinner at Matts' a few weeks ago we all decided to gather around the computer and have some fun with the camera. This is a little taste of how it went. Matt's parents are definitely my favorite shot of the night!

River Fire.
This past Saturday Brisbane had it's annual River Fire. It's a day where Brisbane gets together for one grand 20 minute fireworks show just for the heck of it. This year's highlight was definitely the fireworks being displayed along to the Beatles song "Come Together", although that quickly ended the minute they mixed it with Katy Pery's song "Fireworks". Aside from that the night was a success! I mean, who doesn't love fireworks? Afterwards, Matt and I went home and watched the Office. A whole night of The Office! It was fantastic! I have to say Matt laughing his head off is one of the cutest things I've seen. I love that boy.
